Molecular Distillation is the state-of-the-art technology that gently removes toxins from the highly sensitive fish oils. Fish oils that have undergone this process are clean and toxin-free and hence safe for human consumption; as it is of pharmaceutical grade. Due to the continuous pollution of our oceans, the fish and fish oils may contain toxic materials hazardous to health. In Malaysia , 5 fish and fish liver oil brands were found to contain toxic contaminants. Obviously these fish oils are not molecularly distilled. Molecular Distillation is an expensive technology. A fish oil that undergoes molecular distillation tends to carry a more premium price. However, the extra price you pay gives you the extra protection, safety and a peace of mind, knowing that the fish oils do not carry toxins hazardous to health. ![]() Relative Cost of Fish Oil While health-food grade fish oil and fractionated fish oil may be much cheaper than pharmaceutical-grade fish oil, you are getting contaminants and much less long-chain omega-3 fatty acids in the cheaper oil. It usually takes 100 gallons of health-food-grade fish oil to make 1 gallon of pharmaceutical-grade fish oil. Pharmaceutical-grade fish oil is molecularly distilled fish oil. Toxic heavy metals such as mercury, lead and arsenic found in fish oils can affect the central nervous system and increase the risk of coronary heart disease. Higher blood mercury concentra-tion is also associated with male and female infertility. Recent research is now proving that the permissible level of 10mg/dl for lead is no longer safe. Children with lower levels of lead were found to exhibit delinquent behavior, lower IQ and poor school performance. Conventional or health-food grade fish oils have only 300 mg of EPA & DHA in every 1000 mg of fish oil softgel (30%). Only molecularly distilled fish oil can be concentrated to 50% or more of EPA & DHA in the fish oil. HSC FISH OIL contains 600mg of EPA & DHA ( 50% ) in each softgel of 1200mg of fish oil, proving that it has been molecularly distilled. A double strength allows lesser softgels for optimal results. Essential fatty acids in fish oils are sensitive towards sunlight. To cut out the sunlight that causes product oxidation, fish oil softgels are best kept in an amber glass bottle. The author of Fats That Heal, Fats That Kill, Udo Erasmus, recommends an amber glass bottle for packaging oils. Glass is natural and has been present on this planet for a very long time, with a 3,500- year track record of safe food use. Plastics, on the other hand, is synthetic and has never been present on this planet for 4.5 billion years, until the past 60 years. Oils swell plastics and make any leaching potentially easier. But one is less likely to taste plastic leaching in oil, since the taste of plastic and oil are similar. Source: http://www.fatsthatheal.com |

PCBs (POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENYLS), another family of hazardous contaminants that can cause cancers, has not been detected in HSC FISH OIL Toxin-Free Fish Oil. The Environmental Working Group ( EWG ) in the US has found dangerous doses of cancer-causing PCBs in salmon fish. HSC FISH OIL undergoes mole-cular distillation and lab analyses have not found any detectable PCBs. HSC FISH OIL is PCBs-free. |
