• HSC medical center has both the MSCT scanner and the latest Flat-panel Cath Lab within the same facility, and this enables us to perform MSCT coronary angiogram versus invasive coronary angiogram correlation in certain patients. We have more than 2,500 correlation studies (again one of the largest series in the world) enabling us to have a good understanding of both complementary technologies. We are able to offer the appropriate choice of either the MSCT coronary angiogram or invasive coronary angiogram to the patients, e.g. heavily calcified vessels are better seen with catheter study rather than MSCT coronary angiogram.
