Dr Soo Chee Siong

MBBS (S'pore), MRCP (UK), FACA (USA), FCCP (USA)

Dr Soo is the Medical Director of HSC Medical Center. He is also a Consultant Cardiologist and Physician at Gleneagles Intan Medical Center, Kuala Lumpur. He specializes in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.

He received his undergraduate training in Singapore, and his postgraduate training in Singapore and United Kingdom. He underwent further training in Interventional Cardiology in the Netherlands and in Electrophysiology in Taiwan.

His special interests are in Interventional and Preventive Cardiology.

Dr Pregalathan Namasivayam

MBBS (Mangalore), Dip. In Occupational Medicine (Royal College of Physician Ireland). PG Dip Cardio (Middlesex, UK)

Dr Pregalathan obtained his Bachelor Degrees of Medicine and Surgery from Mangalore University, India in 1993 and Post-graduate diploma in Occupational Medicine from the Royal College of Physician in Ireland. He completed the housemanship at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kuantan. Before joining HSC he was a medical officer at Mentakab Hospital , Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, and Mahkota Medical Center Melaka. He obtained his post graduate diploma in Cardiology from Middlesex University, UK, in 2007.

Dr Satiah Bt Shaary

MD (University Putra Malaysia)

Dr Satiah obtained her MD from University Putra Malaysia. She has worked as a medical officer in Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Hospital Lahad Datu and Hospital Likas, Sabah. She has worked in anaesthesia and also in Obstetric and gynaecology department.

Dr Chew Chee Keong

MBBS (University of Malaya)

Dr Chew Chee Keong obtained his MBBS degree from University Malaya and post graduate diploma in occupational health from University Kebangsaan Malaysia and Royal College of Physician of Ireland (LFOM). He completed the housemanship at Teluk Intan Hospital, Perak. He served as medical officer in various displines at Kanowit District Hospital and Selayang Hospital. Before joining HSC he was practicing as an Occupational Health Doctor at B.P Diagnostic Center.

Dr Chong Boo Keong

MB,BS (Ind), FAGE (MAHE), Cert.Aesthetic (SAAaMM), Cert.X-ray (MINT)

Dr Chong graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery from KMC. Subsequently, he received his fellowship ( FAGE) from MAHE. He spent the first few years of his career in Kasturba Medical Hospital & General Hospital Alor Star respectively. He built a strong base in patient care and disease treatment in various disciplines.

In 1999, Dr Chong continues his medical service at Kulim General Hospital in various clinical specialities. His key job responsibility was to give prompt care and treatment in medical & hemodialysis department. On the other hand, to demonstrates a safe and practical approach in the management of acute sickness which came to casualty.

Nevertheless, Dr Chong also undergone an advanced training in Chinese Traditional Medicine in Lam Wah Ee Hospital. Thereafter, he joined a general group practice as a medical director. His job scope covers almost every aspect of the company from clinic set up, quality medical service,efficient patient treatment to maintainance and improvement of company profile. At the same time he obtained his certificate of x-ray practise in year 2003 from MINT ( Malaysian Institute For Nuclear Technology Research ). Besides, he get himself involved in aesthetic field, and thats' when he managed to get his Certificate of Aesthetic from SAAaMM ( Society for Anti-Aging Aesthetic Medicine Malaysia ). Moreover, Dr Chong is a certified life member of The Board of Society for Anti-Aging Aesthetic Medicine Malaysia and Malaysia Medical Association.

Dr Mohd Azaldin Bin Nor

MD (USM), M.Med (Rad) UKM

Dr Mohd Azaldin obtained his Degree Of Medicine from Universiti Sains Malaysia and Master in Radiology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He completed the housemanship at Sarawak General Hospital. He served as medical officer in various disciplines at Sarawak General hospital, Kapit District Hospital, Machang District Hospital, Hospital UKM and Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Before joining HSC he was a Consultant Radiologist at Hospital Tuanku Jaafar, General hospital Kuala Lumpur and Damai Service Hospital, Kuala Lumpur. He is also a part time lecturer and examiner for Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotheraphy Degree Programme UKM.

Dr Shahrin Bin Samat

M.D. (UKM), M.MED. (RAD) (UKM)

Dr Shahrin Samat obtained his Degree Of Medicine and Master in Radiology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. He completed the housemanship at University Hospital Kuala Lumpur. He served as medical officer in various disciplines at Sungai Siput District Hospital Perak, Hospital Melaka, Hospital UKM and Hospital Kuala Lumpur. Before joining HSC he was a Consultant Radiologist at Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Pahang and Hospital Sungai Buloh Selangor.

Dr Yap Boon Hung

Visiting hour: Friday (2pm – 5pm)

MBCh.B (Sheffield), MRCP (UK)

Dr Yap is a visiting Consultant Gastroenterologist and Consultant Physician in Chest and Internal Medicine of HSC Medical Center. He is also a Consultant Physician in Chest an Internal Medicine at Tung Shin Hospital, Kuala Lumpur.

Dr Yap received his medical undergraduate training in Sheffield , United Kingdom. He worked as a Gastroenterologist / Chest Physician in United Kingdom, before joining the National Tuberculosis Center and National Respiratory Institute in Kuala Lumpur. He was also a lecturer in Chest in the Universiti Malaya Medical School.

Dr Shahrol

BSc.MD (UKM)

Dr Shahrol did his first degree at the National University of Malaysia (UKM). Upon attaining his BSc.MD and completion of his internship, he was accepted as a surgical trainee. His first posting was at Hospital Kota Bharu and subsequently enrolled in the Masters of Surgery programme UKM.

He had various exposures and training with different sub-specialities at Hospital Kuala Lumpur and Hospital UKM, under strict supervision of re-known consultants. As a surgical registrar, Dr. shahrol was given the honour of teaching and supervising other trainees in endoscopic procedures as well as major operations.

He was later appointed as a consultant surgeon at Hospital Queen Elizabeth, Kota Kinabalu Sabah for a few years before joining private practice. His interest includes upper and lower gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy, and upper and lower GI surgeries.

Dr Dennis Khoo Yeap Teng

MBBS (Malaya), MRCP (UK), MRCPS (Glasgow), AM (Mal), Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (MOH)

Dr Dennis was a Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist at Malaysia's premier Gastroenterology and Hepatology Centre, Selayang Hospital. Having spent twelve years there, he is well equipped to handle even the most complicated gastroenterology and hepatology cases. He is also a highly skilled advanced endoscopy trainer for the Ministry of Health and has organized many international advanced endoscopy workshops. Apart from therapeutic OGDS and colonoscopy, he also performs PEG tube insertions, ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound(EUS), push and double balloon enteroscopy and capsule endoscopy. His other area of interest, in which he has published and presented extensively is in the field of chronic viral hepatitis and liver cirrhosis.

Dr Egashira Shogo (Dr. Ega)

MD (Japan), PhD (Kyushu University, Japan), Board Certified Members of JCS (Japan), Board Certified membership of JSIM (Japan)

Dr. Ega is a Cardiologist & Preventive Medicine Physician; he is currently the person in charge of HSC Japan Clinic. He graduated from Saga Medical School, Japan. He obtained his Medical Doctor License in 1984, and PhD (Doctor of Philosophy) in 1996.

He received his training in Internal Medicine and Cardiology mainly in Kyushu University (Japan) and Saiseikai Fukuoka General Hospital (Japan).

He is a Board Certified member of Japanese Society of Internal Medicine, Japanese Society of Circulation and also Premium Professional Member of American Heart Association.

He published several original articles to International Medical Journals (eg. Circulation, American Heart Journal, etc.).

His special interests are Interventional & Preventive Cardiology and Internal Medicine.

Dr Harwant Singh

MD (UKM), FRCS (Edinburgh), MCh Ortho (Liverpool), Dip Sports Med. Dip Biomech, Phd, LLM(Medical Law), FAMM

Dr Harwant Singh is a spinal surgeon who specialises in minimally invasive surgery for herniated disc / slipped disc. He has published many articles in international journals and has a special interest in Scoliosis.

Dr Jasmeet Singh Saren S.M.P., K.M.N.

MBBS (Manipal), MS Orthopedic (UM), CMIA (NIOSH), Fellowship in Joint Replacement & Sports injuries (Melbourne, Australia)

Dr Jasmeet is an internationally trained orthopedic surgeon under the Australian Fellowship Foundation in Melbourne and Jo De'Beers Shoulder Institute in Cape Town. He specializes in hip and knee surgery including the treatment of sports injuries and arthritis. Dr Jasmeet obtained further training at Kyung He University Korea for sports injuries. He has received numerous awards from the Government of Malaysia for his services rendered during his career with the Ministry of Health.

Dr. Choong Yee Fong

MBChB (Leeds), FRCOphth (London), CCST (UK),SR (UK), AM (Mal), Consultant Ophthalmologist & Eye Surgeon, Paediatric Ophthalmologist, Deputy Medical Director, ISEC.

Dr. Choong is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon with sub specialist interest in cataract, children eye diseases and squint. He was an ASEAN Scholar and a recipient of the prestigious British High Commissioner's Award to study Medicine in the United Kingdom. He graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) from the University of Leeds with numerous academic awards including the prestigious University Crabtree Award. He was conferred Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth), London and was awarded the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) upon completion of the higher specialist training in the U.K. He is registered with the General Medical Council (U.K.) Specialist Registry and the National Specialist Registry Malaysia for ophthalmology.

Dr Then Kong Yong

MBBS(London), MSc (London), FRCS (Edin), CCT (UK), Consultant Ophthalmologist & Cornea and External Eye Diseases

Dr. Then obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from St.George's Hospital, University of London. He also has a Masters degree in biochemistry and molecular biology from King's College, University of London. He did his basic and higher surgical training at West Midlands Region. In addition, he has done one year fellowship in stem cell research at Keele University. Dr. Then became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh in 1999 and is registered with the General Medical Council (U.K.) Specialist Registry. He was recommended by the UK Postgraduate Medical Education Training Board to the Royal College of Ophthalmologist, London to be awarded a certificate of completion of training (CCT) in 2006 after finishing his higher surgical training. He has done two cornea and anterior segment fellowships (Birmingham and Brighton) as well as a fellowship in inflammatory eye diseases (Birmingham). He has received numerous awards including the prestigious Scottish Priory of the Order of St.John's research fellowship, an award given by the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. He has also received numerous grants for his research including a major grant from the British Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council and GUP Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia grant.
