Risk Factors for Stomach cancer and H pylori infection

Key points :

H pylori infection is strongly associated with cancer of stomach. Hence, it is recommended for patients with H pylori positive on blood testing to have an upper endoscopy (OGDS) done as a part of their annual medical screening.
