Endoscopy Services
Gastroscopy
Gastroscopy is performed to diagnose and treat problems of the upper digestive tract - the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum. It is useful for the diagnosis of :
¡ñ Reflux oesophagitis
¡ñ Peptic ulcer
¡ñ Cancer of the oesophagus, stomach and duodenum
¡ñ H.pylori bacteria infection
¡ñ Gastric ulcer
¡ñ Other upper gastrointestinal tract pathologies such as polyps and varices
Therapeutic interventions:
¡ñ Removal of polyps
¡ñ Metal stenting of oesophageal cancer and dilatation
¡ñ Control of bleeding from peptic ulcer

Colonoscopy is performed to diagnose and treat problems of the large intestine. It is useful for the diagnosis of :
